I began my artistic work when I was 19 years old, illustrating an anatomical treatise published by the university professor Dr. Taure of the School of Medicine of Barcelona. I continued drawing and painting in mentis from then on. In 1949 chance took me to Paris for five years where I met and befriended artists such as R. Mason, M. Frogt and A. Giacometti who encouraged me to continue on the path of art.

I started with the figure, which from becoming so linear it disappeared and placed my brushstrokes in the structure of rocks. This led into a geometric aesthetic. I passed from there to a symbolism that crystallized into something mystical and tantric during a period of many visits to India. However, I never forgot nature and surrealism which gives wings to art, because all art, as an expression of love, never stops being a playful act.

At this time I paint in all these forms of expression.
